SAMEENA

As the end of Ramadan draws near I wanted to talk about one of the most important things you can gain from this holy month: forgiveness. If there is anytime to ask for forgiveness it's right now. Take a few moments out of your day to reflect on your life and ask Allah for forgiveness not only for you but for everyone.

For me I find it so hard to stay away from certain sins because the hereafter seems so out of reach, it almost doesn't seem real. That's why asking Allah to forgive you is so important, asking him to clean your slate so you can start living your best life. That doesn't mean we're never going to sin again, everyone sins, but that's the beauty of Allah, if you repent he will forgive countless times.

Even if we feel there is no going back for us, our souls are beyond saving from eternal damnation, He will still forgive.

Ask Him to forgive everyone, even your worst enemy, even the worst of the worst around the world whether you think they deserve it or not. Because every time you make a dua for someone else the angels make for you. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “There is no Muslim servant who supplicates for his brother behind his back but that the angel says: And for you the same.” Source: Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2732.

I think that's a good rule to follow in general, if you do dua for someones demise, the angels will do the same dua for you.

May Allah forgive all of our sins, keep us on the straight path and grant us Jannah, Ameen.

Daily Quotes:

ANISAH

Salaams everyone. Ramadan is coming to a close now and all has been accounted for. However it's not too late to get those final deeds in. So this is my final review of Ramadan and how this year has been. It is quite sad that this month is coming to a close and this month allows us to re-evaluate ourselves as Muslims and as human beings. One of the highlights of this Ramadan is definitely the experience of going to taraweeh some of the nights. I felt peaceful, complete and tranquil when entering the masjid doors and to feel the cool air and breeze of the Ramadan nights. If was incredibly satisfying to complete to 20 Rakats but most of all the unity of the community and realising that we are more than just and ummah, we are a strong community who never forget what it means to be part of it. Having gone to the final taraweeh, I felt the true feeling of sorrow as Ramadan leaves like a temporary friend. It saddens my heart to see the peacefulness of a month such a Ramadan disappear. However it is our duty to continue our spiritual journeys best we can. Taraweeh can be a little daunting but I would definitely recommend for you to experience this blessing as least once in Ramadan! A incredible lesson I have learn't this Ramadan is the idea of having forgiveness like Sameena mentioned. We can at times forget the very reason of Ramadan and become set in our ways, unlikely of being forgiving or feeling ourselves too much to ask of forgiveness. However sometimes we need to bite our tounges and actually see the situation's importance amongst the other more serious matters we face. We will start to see that these issues such as arguing with your mother doesn't weigh up to the same. This example of asking for forgiveness can be be difficult but we need to remind ourselves or the rewards and the respect our mothers deserve.

Although this was a few short final thoughts, I felt that these were some of my final highlights, lessons and thoughts about Ramadan. I'm truly upset about the closing of this blessed month and it is unknown to us whether we will live to see another, so let's make the most out of the rest of the month.

Eid Mubarak guys!
