The Honey Love Company: Raw Manuka Sugar Scrub

The Honey Love Co recently asked I try their product and review it for all you lovely people. I have been battling with acne and oily skin for a while now so I know a few things about skincare products but I'm no guru. I tried it this morning so I can only give you my first impressions. The product they asked me to test out is the Raw Manuka Sugar Scrub, a face and body scrub which claims to brighten and soften skin. The company says it is perfect to treat any spots/acne, dry skin, oily skin and eczema. The product sells for £16.99 for 60ml and £24.99 for 100ml, a little on the expensive side, but you can use my discount code.

The ingredients consist of 100% raw manuka honey, cold pressed coconut oil and raw cane sugar crystals. The product is vegan, organic and chemical free. To use it all you have to do is apply a small amount to clean, dry skin and scrub. They recommend it be used three times a week.

I'm a bit of a multitasker, I'm usually really busy so I cleanse my face in the shower (I've read a few articles which forbid this), I did the same with this face scrub even though it is to be used on dry skin, so if you buy it, make sure you use it before you go into the shower. I love honey, so the moment I opened the jar I wanted to eat it (I didn't don't worry, mostly because I'm fasting) but it smells divine! It's also a thick consistency which I like for my scrubs.

I applied a small amount to my face and scrubed for a minute or two, I did have to reach in again to get a little more. I usually scrub more around my nose and acne because I feel it's the most important before washing it off.

I like this scrub because it didn't leave any residue, often with thick scrubs I find I have to wash my face again with a cleaner to get rid of the residue but this scrub left non. It did leave my skin feeling smooth and a little brighter but of course there were no visible changes in terms of my acne because I've only used it once.

It is a product I will be adding to my weekly facial routine to brighten and soften my skin. I do recommend this product especially if you have dry skin.
